This release focuses on printing and includes various new settings to improve flexibility when configuring printers.

New features

  • Adds new Advanced menu for print configurations.
  • Adds new Page layout handling setting for 2up and booklet printing with two options:
    • Printer handles layout (default) – when using this setting, make sure the printer driver is set to handle multiple pages per sheet and or booklet.
    • OLTK handles layout – when using this setting, make sure the printer is set for double sided short edge (booklet) or single sided (2up). OLTK will layout the pages on the paper for you.
  • Adds new setting Printable area source.
    • Use printer reported printable area (default) – Use this setting in most cases.
    • Use application estimated printable area. Use this setting only when instructed to by OLTK support.
  • Adds new setting Printable area compensation.
    • None (default) – No compensation.
    • Compensate – Available when using Page layout handling set to ‘Printer handles layout’. Some printers add additional whitespace around the rendered pages which has the effect of making the actual printed page size smaller than it ideally would be. This setting attempts to compensate for this. NB – this setting can result in small amounts of each page being cut off so do not use this if you PDFs have very tight margins.
  • Adds new setting Compensate for 2up & Booklet shrinking – Available when using Page layout handling set to ‘Printer handles layout’ and configuration is booklet or 2up. When enabled, doubles the size of the actual printed image. This can be used to compensate for printers that shrink the image when printing 2up or booklet.
